Are Penneo signatures court admissible in the U.S.?

Yes! Whenever a signature is required by law, the signature can be made electronically with Penneo and you can submit a digital document as evidence in court.

The few exceptions are:

  • Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts
  • Health care proxies and some types of powers of attorney
  • Documents relating to adoption, divorce, and other family law matters
  • Some types of real estate agreements
  • Certificated investment securities (such as stock certificates)
  • Court orders, notices, and other court documents like pleadings and motions
